Prayer of a Clown

Help me to create more laughter than tears, dispense more cheer than gloom, spread more cheer than despair.

Never let me become so indifferent that I will fail to see the wonders in the eyes of a child or the twinkle in the eyes of the aged.

Never let me forget that “I am a Clown” that my work is to cheer people up, make them happy and make them laugh, make them forget momentarily all the unpleasant things in their lives.

Never let me jeopardize the integrity of Clowndom by improper conduct. Help me to always make others proud of my actions as a clown.

Never let me acquire financial success to the point where I will discontinue calling upon my creator in the hour of plenty.

Shrine Clowns are dedicated to putting smiles on kids' faces that don't have much to smile about!

Amran Shrine Clown Unit Mission Statement

The mission of the Amran Shrine Clown Unit is to uphold the standards and guidelines of Amran Shrine Temple and the Ancient Arabic Order of Nobles of the Mystic Shrine while bringing smiles to the faces of children of all ages especially those in need. Amran Clown Unit focus and objectives are dedicated to fund raising in support of Shrine Hospitals for Children while being ever mindful of and guided by the Prayer of a Clown.
